Colac Secondary
College (formerly Colac High School and Colac College)
is seeking a French teacher for Years 7 &
8 for 2009, due to the merger this year of the two
schools and subsequent increase in the number of
students at these levels. Currently French is the
only language offered, from Year 7 to Year 12. This
is an ideal position for a new and enthusiastic
teacher who wants to get the students hooked on
LOTE. Colac is located between Warrnambool and Geelong,
only 45 mins from the ocean and we are a very warm
and welcoming staff and department. We have been
to New Caledonia and France and hope to keep this
going!

Kyabram Secondary
College is heading towards learning studios
and project learning. It is intended that LOTE will
be incorporated into a project based curriculum,
but the delivery of LOTE in a learning studio environment
with approx 125 students, and only 2 withdrawal
rooms of 6 and 12 students raises some serious questions.
Jan Auld would like
to know if anyone is currently teaching LOTE in
a secondary school in a studio setting, for the
purposes of exchanging ideas.
