Isabelle Mangeot-Hewison has been Head of Languages and teacher of French at St Michael's Grammar School, St Kilda, for 28 years. She is a member of the AFTV Committee and has worked with diverse institutions such as the Alliance Française de Melbourne, Melbourne and Monash Universities, Pearson Publisher and the VCAA on diverse projects. Curiosity and a thirst for fun challenges inform her modus operandi. Year after year, marking School-Assessed-Coursework and preparing students for the VCE external exams remains a challenge. Isabelle even believes it can be fun!
Elodie Lyoen After 9 years of teaching across Years 7–12 in the UK, Elodie has
extensive experience delivering both the Australian Curriculum and the IB MYP programme. She is currently Head of French at Brighton
Grammar. In this role, she develops targeted resources aligned with each outcome, prepares students for all aspects of assessment, and
explicitly teaches the essential skills required for exam success. Elodie has also developed effective strategies to meet the
requirements of the French Study Design and support students in achieving strong results in their French studies.
