What qualifications and registration do I need to teach in Victoria?

All teachers wishing to teach in Victoria need to be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching which is the professional body that sets the professional standards for teachers in Victoria. At the VIT website registration information is available for teacher graduates trained in Australia and experienced teachers trained in Australia and teachers trained overseas.

  • Relevant educational qualification and experience gained in a similar role including experience in teaching VCE French
  • Current Victorian Institute of Teachers (VIT) registration
  • Current Level 2 First Aid and asthma and anaphylaxis qualification

About the Role

This is a part time FTE 0.5 or full time on-going position (with a second teaching method).
