What qualifications and registration do I need to teach in Victoria?

All teachers wishing to teach in Victoria need to be registered with the Victorian Institute of Teaching which is the professional body that sets the professional standards for teachers in Victoria. At the VIT website registration information is available for teacher graduates trained in Australia and experienced teachers trained in Australia and teachers trained overseas.

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated French Teacher to join our team. This position is full time, ongoing. The successful applicant will be working from the Woodlea Campus, located in Aintree (Rockbank).

Salary ranges between $81,846 to 122,727 per annum plus superannuation, depending on the successful applicant's skills, qualifications, and years of teaching experience, as per the Bacchus Marsh Grammar Enterprise Agreement 2022.

Key Selection Criteria

Applicants will be required to meet the following criteria:

  • Appropriate teaching qualifications.
  • Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT) registration or the ability to become registered in Victoria as a Teacher
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a French teacher.
  • First aid certificate.
  • Valid driver's licence.
