Prior to the pandemic the Year 12 Exam Preparation, know as la Matinée du français, was an 'in person' morning of vital information on the final exams, presented by experienced Year 12 teachers.
Today, the AFTV provides this information to VCE French students via videos and a downloadable booklet.
The AFTV has screened many movies over the years, which have been enjoyed by hundreds of French students across the state. Film
sub-committee members have prepared worksheets for these movies.
AN AFTV / BASTILLE DAY FRENCH FESTIVAL INITIATIVE
The Bastille Day Video Competition was very popular again this year. Students from years 5 to 8 were asked to create a promotional video on
how Bastille Day is celebrated in a French city/town of their choice.
Forum de la Francophonie Melbourne and the AFTV have been collaborating for 3 years to offer students studying French from Years 5 to 8 an opportunity to discover the Francophone world by creating a video on a French speaking country.
On Friday 11 August, Sacré Coeur in Glen Iris hosted the annual AFTV Soirée Trivia night. The evening was attended by 11 schools with 76 students from Years 9 and 10 and their teachers.
