2022 AFTV / FATFA Conference

Teaching and Learning post-COVID French: Challenges and New Dynamics

Congratulations to everyone involved in making the AFTV/FATFA 2022 Conference, such a great success!!

Attendance numbers exceeded expectations, food was superb and plentiful, plenary and session presenters thought-provoking, wellness sessions unique, relaxing and a lot of fun, brilliant venue, very interesting exhibitor stands!

We were delighted to be able to come back together face-to-face as a Community, after several challenging years, to reconnect, learn, share, and enjoy each other's company. We have been receiving exceptional delegate feedback about the experience both personally (networking, reconnecting, having fun) and professionally (how participation in the event will positively influence future thinking and teaching practices).

Thank you to the presenters for sharing their presentations with us. Please click here to access the presentations.

Please see below some delegate feedback:

  • My hats off to the AFTV and FATFA members who put together an amazing conference. I think finishing with a salsa class should become the norm in all conferences! It was engaging and thought-provoking while being fun. I feel so privileged to be part of this French teaching community. And thank you for giving me the privilege to share my research and ideas.
  • The conference was, as always, a huge undertaking for the committee and a huge success too so first of all, thank you to the committee and Diane, Philippe and Lucie in particular! I felt really invigorated by the conference. I was considering leaving the profession but the sense of connection and fun really helped me realise how much I love teaching.
  • I found it to be a most worthwhile 2 days. So many interesting and varied sessions, great to catch up with old friends and meet some new teachers as well, great to re-charge the teaching batteries and so great to be able to be with people again.
