What a fantastic day at the AFTV Atelier Metro on Sunday 31 August! With 160 students and 24 French teachers working in small groups, the energy was incredible.
A very big MERCI to the Glen Eira College staff for welcoming us into their school, and to the amazing Glen Eira College students who were ambassadors and helpers – they made sure everyone knew where to go and kept the day running smoothly. This workshop really makes a difference for Year 12s, giving them the confidence to tackle the oral exam, a clear understanding of the criteria, and valuable feedback on how to prepare and improve.

As part of the Alliance Français French Film Festival 2026, we are pleased to invite AFTV members to a screening of l'Étranger,
the superb new drama from multi award-winning writer/director François Ozon (Swimming Pool, 8 Women, Under
the Sand).
L'Étranger is
a gripping adaptation of Albert Camus’ landmark novella about a detached young expatriate on trial for murder in 1930s French-colonised
Algeria.
It gives us great pleasure to invite Upper Primary and Lower Secondary French teachers to an 'EPI workshop with Gianfranco Conti'.
Date Monday 25 May
Venue Catholic Leadership Centre, East Melbourne
Time 9.00am - 3.45pm
