On 19 February, 34 teachers from across Victoria and one who flew all the way from South Korea for the day attended the first session
of the AFTV 2024 Nailing it! series.
The workshop was a great opportunity for teachers of the VCE course to get together, network and discuss their understanding of the
course assessment requirements. During the workshop we examined how to design effective outcomes using examples, shared useful tips and
advice on how to prepare students, design rubrics, give effective feedback and what to keep in mind when marking Unit 3 outcomes.
On 25 March was held the AFTV online conference that offered a variety of professional learning sessions all aimed at supporting teachers to
build and increase student motivation in the French classroom.
The conference opened with a brilliant and thought-provoking interactive workshop by renown Dr Liam Printer on building intrinsic
motivation. The workshop was extremely well received, and we all gained practical ideas and renewed motivation ourselves! Thank you to Dr
Liam Printer for taking the time on a Sunday night at 10.45 pm Switzerland time to share his expertise with us.
