AFTV Committee Nominations 2026

AFTV members are welcome to join the AFTV 2026 Committee. AFTV Committee positions will be voted in at the AFTV AGM on Friday 13 February.

The AFTV's internal strength is built by the collaborative effort of individual Committee members as well as our membership. The collective aim is to support teachers and learners of French throughout Victoria and to encourage, promote and advocate the learning of French as part of the school curriculum.

BECOME AN AFTV COMMITTEE MEMBER!

Help the AFTV better promote the teaching and learning of French in Victoria
- Join a committed group of practising teachers of French
- Share your passion for the teaching of French with colleagues from all sectors
Refine your decision-making skills
Expand your professional network
Suggest and/or run professional development activities, which best meet AFTV members' needs
Avail yourself of leadership opportunities
Gain an understanding of how an incorporated association works
Please find attached a position description of the AFTV sub-committees you may be interested in joining.
Demonstrate your commitment to the teaching of French to prospective employers.
Attend a minimum of 3 and maximum of 6 meetings a year.
