This full day PL workshop will equip participants with the skills to effectively assess the VCE French Units 2 and 4. You will gain a better understanding of the skills students need to develop and will learn strategies that enable you to create appropriate assessment tasks.
This program is right for you if you are a teacher new to the VCE French course or if you would like to learn and share strategies to assess Unit 2 and 4 SAC.

Lucie Dickens has over 20 years teaching French to Junior and Secondary students. Since 2012, Lucie has been teaching French at Kilvington Grammar School. In her roles as Academic Dean of Languages and Director of the Global Connections Program, her passion is to support and promote the teaching of languages. This is also reflected in her involvement with the AFTV and her role as vice-president. Lucie has many years of experience as a VCAA assessor for the written and oral examinations.
Nathalie Marchand is a passionate and accomplished Language educator and certified Professional translator, and has been actively involved in language education at secondary and primary levels for over 23 years.
With various Language and educational degrees, Nathalie has extensive experience teaching GCSE and A level French in the UK, and the MYP, PYP, IB and VCE French courses in two independent Victorian schools since 2007. She has acquired an extensive knowledge and experience in developing engaging teaching strategies and designing curriculum through her roles as head of department for French, year level coordinator and author, examiner and content consultant on teaching and learning material for the Quoi de Neuf? Series.
