The 'Tech-tastic Teaching' session, guided by Philippe Messer, was a vibrant professional development event that brought educators together to explore some fun and engaging ways to include technology in the languages classroom.
Attendees delved into the practicalities of QR code creation, unlocking new ways to engage students with interactive content. The
session illuminated the potential of green screen technology, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and Google Maps as tools
for creating dynamic learning experiences.
Participants experimented with these technologies, brainstorming innovative applications for the languages classroom. The atmosphere was electric as teachers envisioned AR-enhanced storytelling and VR cultural excursions. An abundance of Carambars certainly helped with the inspiration.
All in all, the day was a fabulous exploration of the potentials of technology to enhance teaching, provided a space to brainstorm possibilities, collaborate with like-minded colleagues and share ideas to inspire students.
