ATELIER ORAL – UNE MATINÉE POUR S’ENTRAINER

ENTRAINEMENT PRE-EXAMENS VCE – AVANT LES EXAMENS

An opportunity for Year 12 students at regional schools to practise online for their oral exam!

August is traditionally the month when VCE students know for real: the exams are upon them!

Objectives

To allow students to practise speaking French with experienced AFTV French teachers.
To allow Year 12 VCE French students to meet and workshop their oral French exam with Year 12 VCE French students from other schools.
To allow students to prepare for their VCE oral exam in a different setting to their own school, and through an authentic collaboration experience.
To give students the opportunity to listen to each other and learn about the Oral exam criteria through peer assessment.
To allow students to thoroughly understand the role of the image in the discussion part of the oral exam.

Activities

1. The conversation workshop – preparing for the CONVERSATION GÉNÉRALE

In small groups of 4 students:

Each student will have a 7 minute conversation with an experienced VCE French teacher in front of the other 3 students.
There will be a 7 minute feedback session for each student in the form of an evaluative discussion between students and teacher, based on the Oral Examination marking criteria.

2. The discussion workshop – preparing for the DISCUSSION

A general presentation of ideas about how best to include the image in the discussion part of the oral exam.

AFTV CANCELLATION POLICY

The AFTV is unable to provide partial refunds. No refunds can be given for a student or students who are unable to attend an AFTV Student Activity, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Refunds will be provided at the discretion of the AFTV.

PLEASE NOTE

If you are a Metropolitan school, your students are ineligible to attend the Regional Atelier Oral. Unfortunately, we will be required to refund your money if you register for the Regional Atelier Oral and you are a Metropolitan school.
If you require a tax invoice, please complete the attached AFTV proforma tax invoice for your finance office.
