ENTRAINEMENT PRE-EXAMENS VCE – AVANT LES EXAMENS


An opportunity for your Year 12 students to practise face to face for their oral exam!

We apologise to those schools who were hoping to enrol their students in the Atelier Oral en présentiel as it is fully booked.

Time 8.30am-12.30pm

Bookings Close Friday 7 August (or if booked out earlier)


Objectives

  • To allow students to practise speaking French with experienced AFTV French teachers.
  • To allow Year 12 VCE French students to meet and workshop their oral French exam with Year 12 VCE French students from other schools.
  • To allow students to prepare for their VCE oral exam in a different setting to their own school, and through an authentic collaboration experience.
  • To give students the opportunity to listen to each other and learn about the Oral exam criteria through peer assessment.
  • To allow students to thoroughly understand the role of the image in the discussion part of the oral exam.

Registration      

AFTV Member Government Schools

  • Early Bird rate | $15.00 per student  (ends Friday 26 June)
  • Regular rate | $20.00 per student


AFTV Member Independent & Catholic Schools

  • Early Bird rate | $18.00 per student (ends Friday 26 June)
  • Regular rate | $25.00 per student


PLEASE NOTE:

  • Bookings need to be made by the teacher who is a current AFTV member. If you are not sure of your membership status, please email info@aftv.vic.edu.au for confirmation.
  • NO student bookings will be taken. 
  • Students can only participate in ONE of the ateliers, ie présentiel or en ligne.
  • Consent to attend is the teacher's responsibility.

Activities

1. The conversation workshop – preparing for the CONVERSATION GÉNÉRALE

In small groups of 4 students:

  • Each student will have a 7mn-conversation with an experienced VCE French teacher in front of the other 3 students.
  • There will be a 7mn-feedback session for each student in the form of an evaluative discussion between students and teacher, based on the Oral Examination marking criteria.

2. The discussion workshop – preparing for the DISCUSSION

  • A general presentation of ideas about how best to include the image in the discussion part of the oral exam.
  • Then, in small groups, students will workshop different uses of an image for different topics.

  • AFTV cancellation policy: The AFTV is unable to provide partial refunds. No refunds can be given for a student or students who are unable to attend an AFTV Student Activity, unless there are extenuating circumstances. Refunds will be provided at the discretion of the AFTV.
